Half way through the movie, Yukari has medicine applied to a wound to her chest, and pulls her top partially down, as two of her followers look on in awe. This is in direct contrast to the image she would portray throughout most of her career, and it’s weird that it happens in a movie aimed at kids!

Yukari fights a Chinese vampire, wearing a white dress that shows her powerful legs when she kicks. Limited wire work (for her) and instead a lot of high kicking acrobatic fighting. Unfortunately this is probably the closest to a normal Yukari fight scene we see in the movie.

The best thing about this comedy/supernatural/wuxia is of course Yukari Oshima - this is one of her earliest Hong Kong roles (actually Taiwan) - and though she’s entertaining here, and provides some solid action, this is very much a kid’s movie.
